long way to see a baseball game
well, it took driving to columbus, ohio, flying 4.5 hours to bellingham, washington, driving the 80 miles to seattle, and drinking numerous beers at the pyramid brewing company to see the indians set some kind of record for playing “home” games in 3 different cities (cleveland, milwaukee, and seattle), but boy we did it.
of course the indians won their “home” game, and then borowski game the mariners the second game, but it was a lot of fun. thanks go out to jeff and the warden for getting those great seats in the club level.
too bad harvey pekar didn’t make it, as he had pneumonia….

2007 kansas city / st. louis baseball trip
Ok, this years baseball trip was not quite as cool (no pun intended as it was in the upper 80’s and low 90’s with a ton of humidity!) as the Boston/NY trip, but it was a good time nonetheless.
The new Busch Stadium and Kauffman Stadium. For more pics from the trip, check these out

If you are ever flying into reagan national airport, make sure you get a window seat on the LEFT side of the plane. the view is unbelievable. unfortunately, shortly after this was taken, we had to make an emergency “not quite landing” and take off again up and straight over the terminal. once inside, check out the view inside reagan national airport
I happened to hit RIGHT at peak Cherry Blossom time
I didn’t think Senator Strom Thurmond was still alive! Also, check out the road sings in maryland out near the coast.
then took in a nationals game at RFK before they left for their new ballpark…
